Description
Designed by personal-defense trainer Michael Janich, the Spyderco Yojimbo 2 fuses the utility of a Wharncliffe blade with an aggressive tactical design.
The first thing you notice about the Yojimbo 2 is the distinctive shape. It may look unconventional, but every swoop and curve is there for a reason. The tapering handle and finger grooves guide your hand on to hold the knife and orient the blade tip for maximum penetration. The broad scoop on the spine of the blade also provides a natural thumb rest in a standard grip, while acting as a spot for the forefinger when engaging the knife in a pinch grip. All this helps to control the tip of the knife, no matter where you hold it.
The Yojimbo 2 features textured G10 handle scales, providing plenty of grip in adverse situations. S30V blade steel keeps the design honest, offering the performance to back up the dramatic design.
Nestled in the scales is Spyderco’s Compression Lock. Strong and safer than a liner lock, this mechanism allows easy one-handed opening and closing, all without your fingers crossing the path of the blade. A four-position pocket clip rounds out the package and enables the user plenty of carry options depending on their needs.
