The Darkwoods is a serious survival/camp knife and the largest in the Task Custom Knives lineup. This beast is 16″ overall with a 10″ blade of 5160 spring steel rockwell 58, parkerized finish, black canvas micarta handles and a kydex sheath. The blade is .237″ thick and 2″ wide. This knife is up to the task whatever it is – chopping, batoning, shelter building, skinning, breaching any survival need. The knife is well balanced and handles very well, which is a talent to grind a knife this size out of .25″ steel and get the balance correct. This is a fantastic large outdoors knife.
